Avital Ash

Avital Ash (born 20 July, 1986) is an American actress, writer, and director based in Los Angeles, California.
History
Avital Ash was born in Miami Beach, Florida. At seventeen, she was published at The Miami Herald. At eighteen, she moved to Los Angeles and worked as a VJ/Host , and model . She starred in a string of music videos that helped get her noticed and is now acting in several features. In June of 2008 she wrote and directed her first feature, Kaleidoscope .
Feature films
In March, 2008, Avital played Ashley in the feature, Our Collective Ruin , still in post-production. In summer of 2009, Ash played Ami in a feature called Claire, , and Eva in another, Honest Cheat. In July, 2008 Avital played Anna in a feature, Kaleidoscope, , which she wrote and directed. It is currently still in post-production, scheduled for festivals next year.
Hosting
Ash hosted a show on MusicPlusTV (now Vlaze) in 2006 called (indie)Substance . Among her interviewees/guests were The Like, Tyler Hilton, Travis Barker, Ron Jeremy, Youth Group, Oliver Future, The Adored, Morgan Phalen of Diamond Nights, Andy Elwell, and Glenn Howerton of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Modeling
Avital modeled for Johnny Cupcakes and was on the cover of his first catalog, 2004-2005. In 2007 she modeled for American Express and did several American Apparel ads.
Music Videos
Most notably, Ash was the lead in The Hold Steady music video, for "Chips Ahoy." She was featured in a video for Switchfoot, "We Are One Tonight." She was also the girl in the music video for Christian Rock band 's single, "Breathe into Me." Most recently, she plays Fitz's girlfriend in the Fitz and the Tantrums video, "Winds of Change."
