Avery Watts

Avery Allan Watts (born on October 27, 1981) is an American rock musician, singer-songwriter, performer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and entrepreneur, known as being the front man and lead singer of the eponymous band, Avery Watts.
Biography
Early life
Watts was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. for LS Records in 2000 in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
After many lineup changes and refinements in the band’s sound and look Watts relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 to record his LUX's second album Seeing is Believing.
The group disbanded in 2007 after some early success, most notably opening for Lynard Skynard at the Portland Memorial Coliseum and Roseland Theater. Both performances attracting crowds of over 5000.
Recent Years
Watts turned his attention to his solo project. He began working on new material for his next release titled The Takeover EP (spring 2009). Underscoring the solo nature of this record, he played every instrument as well as producing, engineering, mixing, and mastering the album itself.
The EP's sound has been described as heavy and melodic with uplifting and inspirational lyrics. Because of the high-energy, motivational feel of the music , ESPN , and Major League Lacrosse. Watts also re-mixed "A Cut Above" especially for multiple Olympic Medal winner Megan Jendrick to serve as her theme song.
Watts became involved in two music charity projects in 2009. In July 2009 he contributed two songs off The Takeover EP ("A Cut Above" and "Stand") to Bare Metal Records' charity compilation Auditory Assault for overseas American troops. It was distributed by the USO in Iraq and Afghanistan, with Watts as the only unsigned artist on the disc. The CD was promoted on NBC news and featured 20 other artists from labels such as Roadrunner Records, Epitaph Records and Metal Blade Records Later, On September 9, 2009 Watts became involved with the album The Green Washed Ritual by donating his “A Cut Above” hit single. Over a million download cards have been donated as charity to support action sports youth organizations via the X-games, Maloof Money Cup, Frank Scura's ASEC, Tampa AM, and Action Sports Retail shows.
Watts garnered serious cross-genre attention with an in-depth interview on hip-hop social networking / blogging site ThisIs50.com. The interview is the first of a rock artist on the site.
Personal Life
A life-long action, outdoor, and motor sports enthusiast, Watts is dedicated to living an active, healthy and clean living lifestyle. Watts' fit physique and healthy lifestyle earned him a full endorsement by sport nutrition company Labrada Nutrition.
Awards
In 2009 Avery was honored with a Hollywood Music in Media Award as Best Rock performer.
