Graham Conway Davis (b. 1946) is a former Art Director of Time-Life International. He was also art director of the Illustrated London News and Good Housekeeping magazine. He has been a design consultant for numerous magazines including Woman, New Musical Express, and Radio 3 magazine. He has also lectured on co-edition publishing and art direction at the London College of Printing. He is art director of the Photographer’s i Magazine, created specifically for the digital tablet format and in particular the iPad and is not available in print. It features contributions from many of the best photographers from the 1960’s to the present day including Jay Maisel Greg Heisler and Romano Cagnoni. His books include Create and Print Calendars and Greeting Cards, How to Show and Share Your Digital Photographs, Make Your Own Maps, Quick Solutions to Great Layouts, Web Animation: Start Here! plus 500 Grids & Style Sheets and 2000 Colour Palettes and Swatches from The Designer’s Toolkit series. He lives in Cambridge, England, where he divides his time between design for both web and print and writing. Davis has also been a content contributor for Photoshop Type Effects and The Designer’s Lexicon. He was also both concept and content provider for Our Family Archive and Family Heritage Album. He is currently working on CD/DVD interface and styling for Golf Record System and My Story, both Filemaker data based applications and World in a Box, a Flash-based Map application. Davis is also responsible for both Design Alternative and E-Design websites.
