Austin Lee (Born 1983, Las Vegas, Nevada) is an artist based in New York. He received an MFA in painting from the Yale School of Art and a BFA from Tyler School of Art. Lee's work has most recently been exhibited at Postmasters Gallery in New York; Carl Kostyal in London and Stockholm; and Kaleidoscope in Milan. In 2015 he collaborated with SPHERES to create a book of drawings that are animated by a free augmented reality app. His work has been written about in the New York Observer , The London Spectator , Artnews, TimeOut London, New York Magazine, Hyperallergic, Rhizome, and TimeOut New York, among others. |
