About
Auramics are a psychedelic, dreampop, radiophonic, hauntology music group from Brooklyn, New York. Their name "Auramics" is said to be inspired by the name Oramics, a drawn sound technique by electronic pioneer Daphne Oram of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and the word "Aura" in regards to color & the metaphysical realm and "Aural" relating to hearing.
Band History
Auramics were formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2014. The Auramics song "Founders of Time" was apart of a concept album called “X Sounds”, that they were asked to contribute to for the record label Burlei of San Francisco. It features various musicians incorporating household sampled sounds (musique concrete), alongside photography. Their song "Founders of Time" was on display at the Fort Houston Art Gallery . The band's original members were Kristi Scarvelis & Glen Lee Flynn. Currently, the band consists solely of the Singer/Musician Kristi_Scarvelis.

Notability/Press
Auramics is most recognized by their song "Founders of Time". The song & music video for "Founders of Time" is considered one of the current Hauntology Radiophonic music groups along with Ghostbox Records, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and Broadcast as well as likes of the great Portishead. The music video to "Founders of Time" was directed by lead singer Kristi Scarvelis and she references inspiration to the BBC Radiophonic Workshop in imagery. "Founders of Time" was also a part of the “X Sounds” concept album that they were asked to contribute to for the record label Burlei of San Francisco. Auramics has been aired in America and Internationally. Their song "Founders of Time" was aired on Intersonik Radio / Wolf Songs For Lambs featured Auramics "Founders of Time" along with Julia Holter, AIR and others.Their song "Mysterious World" was Featured on WNYU's Broadcast inspired Radio Show "Ha Ha Sound" .
