Augusto Marietti (born March 12, 1988) is a co-founder Mashape, the marketplace for Cloud APIs. Education Marietti was born in Rome, Italy and graduated in 2009 from the Catholic University of Milan where he received a BSc in Economics. During 2008, Marietti enrolled at UC Berkeley for an exchange program in International Economics. Career Marietti at the age of 19, founded MemboxX, one of the first data storage services in Europe in early 2007. The service was used by over 20,000 customers to save their files as well as their personal and easy-to-forget data like telephone numbers, credit card numbers or PINs. In 2009, Marietti co-founded Mashape in a garage in Milan, Italy. The company quickly moved to San Francisco, USA. Mashape then raised $1.6MM in funding from prominent institutional investors including New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Index Ventures and individuals including Jeff Bezos and Eric Schmidt's Innovation Endeavors.
