Audible Treats is a Brooklyn-based public relations and marketing agency. Founded in 2004 by Michelle McDevitt and Gavin Rhodes, it offers print publicity, online marketing, and social media management and consulting to a range of clientele, including Grammy Award-winning artists, record labels, clothing brands, film companies, self-funded independent musicians, and radio stations. Past clients include Nelly, Black Sheep, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Talib Kweli, and Mario. It hosts annual music industry showcases for CMJ and South by Southwest. Overview Founding Audible Treats was co-founded as a lifestyle and entertainment marketing firm by Gavin Rhodes and Michelle McDevitt. The pair met in New York University's Steinhardt Music Business graduate program. After graduating, they formed Audible Treats in 2004. Rhodes serves as Director of Marketing, while McDevitt serves as President. Current Online Marketing Manager, Dan Friedman, also attended the NYU MUBG program. The company is headquartered in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. In 2011, McDevitt was invited to be a Music Business Alumna-in-Residence for NYU's Music Business graduate program for the Spring semester Promotion & Publicity course. Services The agency is an entertainment and publicity firm, It took place at Southpaw in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn on October 22, 2009. It also held an Audible Treats Showcase for the March 2010 South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. The 2010 Audible Treats CMJ Showcase featured hip-hop artists Black Sheep, Rah Digga, Nottz, Asher Roth, Diamond District, Big Pooh + Hall of Justus, Chip Fu, Von Pea, Moe Green, DaVinci, and The Left.<ref name="hustle"/> The event was partially funded by local businesses.<ref name="prefix"/>
