Arvind Poswal

Dr. Arvind Poswal is a Indian hair transplant surgeon. He is the inventor of FUSE1 technique of hair transplant. The FUSE technique is done without any linear cutting and stitching. After serving in Indian Army Corps as commissioned officer for six years, in 1996, he became a doctor. He is the first doctor from India, who was honoured with the membership of the American Hair loss Association and to be featured on the Bald Truth Radio, USA. He has recently been awarded with Global Indian of the Year Award- 2014 by the former President of India3, Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil .
Career
Dr. Arvind Poswal is the founder, chairman & managing director and chief surgeon of Dr. A’s Clinic, (a unit of Dr. A S Clinic Pvt Ltd) in Delhi and Mumbai. He is the founder Vice President of The International FUE society4, founder President of Society of Hair Transplant Surgeons5 and member of ESHRS6, ISHRS7, IAHRS8, AHLA9, IPHA10 and AHRS11. He is world’s first doctor to perform documented beard hair to scalp transplant by FUSE/FUE (in Feb 2006), thus, making available a new donor resource for patients suffering from hair loss . He has delivered educational lectures on hair restoration at various medical colleges (RNT Medical College Udaipur, Bakson’s Medical College, Armed Forces Medical College, Pune etc). His articles have been published in medical journals like IJPS12 and IJD13. He was featured in many national and international TV channels including ZEE BUSINESS and FOX BUSINESS NETWORK.
Early life
Dr. Arvind Poswal was born on 19 December 1968. He joined Indian army as a commissioned medical officer in 1990, after completing his medical studies from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. While serving in Indian armed forces he served in anti- terrorism operation in Punjab named “Operation Prahar” and Counter Insurgency Operations conducted at India-Pakistan border in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
In the year 1993, Dr. Poswal’s marriage was solemnized with Ms. Bharti Bedi, daughter of Brigadier (retired) Jagjit Singh Bedi, VSM. Now, their son Raghavwinteryaksh, has been pursuing medical studies.
