Armorik

Armorik the Viking: The Eight Conquests is a MS-DOS platform game released by Infogrames Multimedia SA in 1988. It was programmed by Frédéric Senegas, and the graphics were drawn by Patrice Duroux.
Description
A very simple platform game, Armorik the Viking gameplay and setting are clearly inspired by one of the most famous game of that era: . The main character is a smiling viking warrior who throws daggers at his enemies while fighting to reach the end of various fantasy-themed scenarios.
The game consists of 8 horizontal and vertical-scrolling levels that can be played in any order. The levels are: Mountain, Cave, Forest, Cemetery,Castle, Manor House, Fire and Ice. The game is very difficult since the beginning as the enemies move really fast through the screen, and they keep relentlessly spawning even after they're killed. The large sprites and colorful graphics are pretty well drawn, but actually contribute into making the game even more difficult as the screen is often cluttered with several hazards such as enemies, obstacles and flying projectiles.
In France the game was also known as Les Huit Conquêtes d'Armorik le Viking.
