Anton Sport

Anton Sport is a provider of custom embroidered and screen-printed sportswear. It was founded by John Anton in 1985. It is currently located in Tempe, Arizona.
History
Anton Sport was founded in 1985 by John Anton as a senior at Arizona State University . He took out an advance on his credit card in order to make t-shirts for an ASU football game. He managed to sell out all the t-shirts for the game and decided to start selling more t-shirts around ASU's campus. A few months after graduating, John Anton made Anton Sport an official business. He bought a printer and leased an office in Tempe, Arizona and Anton Sport is still located there today.
Products and Services
Anton Sport produces screen-printed, custom apparel. Typical clients usually consist of private schools, sporting events, private companies and sports teams. Some of Anton Sport's more famous clients include Arizona State University, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Arizona Cardinals, and the Arizona Republic.
DesignAShirt
In 2002 Anton Sport started an online side to the business with the website DesignAShirt.com. DesignAShirt allows users to create their own t-shirts online using the website's Design Studio. The designs are then printed and shipped out by Anton Sport. DesignAShirt is the online face of the company and has increased revenue for the company.
Recently Anton Sport received the first Brother GT-782 Direct to Garment Ink Jet Printer in the United States. This digital printer is mainly used for orders that come through online and allows Anton Sport to print white ink on dark garments.
Arizona Sports
Anton Sport often works closely with the Arizona Diamondbacks, printing t-shirts for the organization's various needs. Anton Sport was also instrumental in printing Diamondbacks World Series Champion t-shirts back in 2001.
When the Arizona Cardinals made the Super Bowl in 2009, Anton Sport was one of the leading distributors of Cardinals' merchandise. Business increased dramatically for Anton Sport. The company was printing 1,500 shirts an hour and they printed for 36 hours straight at one point.
Anton Sport has also prints t-shirts for the annual Fiesta Bowl held in Glendale, Arizona.
