Anthony LaPine

Anthony LaPine is a business executive best known for his innovation of modern disk drive technologies.
Career
LaPine started his career at IBM as a member of the Advanced Technology team that development of the modern disk drive. Then, he was one of the founders of Memorex in 1969 before moving on to serve as president of Irwin-Olivetti in 1981.
In 1983, he formed LaPine Technology, which produced the laptop disk drive technology used today.
After the sale of LaPine Technology, he formed The LaPine Group, a private investment and management consulting firm. In 1996, he launched Datalink Corporation which later changed its name to Semotus Solutions and, in 2008, merged with Flint Telecom forming The Flint Telecom Group, a VOIP seller.
