Angela Marie Hutchinson is a writer and entrepreneur. In 2005 she was elected as the first African American president of the Scriptwriters Network, a non-profit organization with over 400 active members, founded in 1986. During her year in that position, she implemented several diversity initiatives, including linking the organization with ABC/Disney’s Scholarship Grant Program. In May 2005, she founded BReaKiNG iNTo HoLLyWooD, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for aspiring professionals to learn from established pros within the film, television, music, sports and fashion industries. Angela Marie earned her B.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and a certificate in Cross-Media Journalism from the University of Southern California. She has been a guest speaker within the faith-based community, as well as a panelist at notable festivals, such as the Hollywood Black Film Festival and upcoming 2007 Arizona Black Film Showcase and Washington, DC Independent Film Festival.
