Andy Wisne

Andy Wisne (born 9 October 1978) is an American actor and former University of Notre Dame football player. While he was a football player at the University of Notre Dame, he played the position of nose guard.
In October 2001, Wisne crashed into his Notre Dame teammate, Darrell Campbell, causing a concussion injury. He had originally planned to play in the NFL but the injury ended his football career. Other factors contributed to this decision: Wisne said that "Football was my life, I gave my soul to it. But everything, year after year, kept building up, emotion-wise, and I decided I’d had enough - enough mental and physical frustration." After giving up football, he went on a diet and " himself obsessively in the gym"; in five months, he lost 100 pounds.
During his fifth year at Notre Dame, Wisne took an acting class and, after retirement, decided to pursue an acting career. He moved to Los Angeles, California, in search for acting opportunities. He had a minor role in Ally McBeal. He is the brother of Jerry Wisne, a former player for the Chicago Bears. Andy Wisne appeared on an NBC halftime show during a football game with his brother and his father, Gerald.
