Richard Alan Reid (born September 29, 1984) is an English actor best known for his role in the upcoming romantic comedy Love, Wedding, Marriage starring alongside Mandy Moore and Kellan Lutz. Early Life Reid was born in Windsor, Berkshire, England to Sir Alan and Lady Maureen Reid. He grew up in a village near Henley-On-Thames, just outside of London, with his parents and older sister Caroline, where he had a privileged childhood. He attended Reading Blue Coat School and the Redroofs Theatre School near his home. Richard had quite the busy schedule growing up, playing a variety of sports and also performing in school plays. Richard attended the prestigious Sussex University in Brighton, England for two years before moving to the United States and transferring to the University of California at Santa Barbara. While at UC Santa Barbara, he was president of his fraternity, Phi Sigma Kappa, and played soccer. In December of 2008, Richard graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Studies specializing in Screenwriting. Career At age 13, Richard began acting in theater. Over time, he became interest in film and television acting and did some television work in England, including the BBC comedy sketch show Oi Over Here with comedian Joe Bor. Richard has also had minor roles in such hit films as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and The Hangover. He has two films coming out this year, Flutter and Love, Wedding, Marriage, which also stars Mandy Moore, Kellan Lutz, Jessica Szhor, Jane Seymour and James Brolin. Richard has a number of other projects in the works, such as B.F.F., and then the biography of F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Beautiful and The Damned, rumored to be starring alongside Keira Knightly and Leonardo Dicaprio. Personal Life Richard’s father, Sir Alan Reid, is Treasurer to the Queen of England and Keeper of the Privy Purse. Richard makes visits to England throughout the year and attends a number of royal events with his family, who he loves dearly. He is an Arsenal Football Club season ticket holder and has attended games with his father since he was a young child. Richard currently lives in Los Angeles, California and loves it! Looking to the future he would eventually like to settle down in England, but for now Los Angeles is perfect!
