Steven Griffith (born March 31, 1961) is an American actor and playwright, best known for playing the role of Tex in Forrest Gump. Griffith attended Lander University in Greenwood, SC and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983. Biography Career Griffith appeared in television series,In The Heat Of The Night, as well as the television movies, Scattered Dreams and The Uninvited. Other film appearances include, The Program. Griffith appeared as Buzz in Our Very Own, which stars Allison Janney, Keith Carradine, Jason Ritter and Cheryl Hines. The film had its world premiere at the 2005 Los Angeles Film Festival and was nominated for a 2006 Independent Spirit Award. Griffith shared an Ensemble Acting Award given by the Sarasota Film Festival for his work in "Our Very Own." |
