Andrew de Burgh

Andrew de Burgh (born June 16, 1990) is a British actor, director, writer and producer. He made his feature film acting debut in the 2015 Mischa Barton horror-comedy film L.A. Slasher. His directorial debut film Just One Drink, which he also wrote, produced and acted in opposite ' star Barbara Nedeljakova, was an Official Selection alongside Furious 7, Jurassic World and Avengers: Age of Ultron at the 2015 Chinese American Film Festival.
Early life
Andrew de Burgh was born in Shrewsbury, England to Nicholas de Burgh Sidley, an English Contracts Manager and Raksha Colaco, an Indian air hostess. He grew up in several countries including England, France, Spain, Holland, United Arab Emirates, India and the United States. Although he took Drama classes and acted in school plays from an early age, he was inspired to become a professional actor when he saw Batman Begins in 2005. Christian Bale's exceptional performance combined with Christopher Nolan's outstanding directing in the film stirred a desire in him to replicate a similar level of excellence. He graduated high school from Saint Margaret's Episcopal School in San Juan Capistrano in 2008. Andrew then enrolled at Pepperdine University and graduated in 2012 where he studied Theater and Advertising. While at Pepperdine, he was heavily involved in the film department and had his own soccer column in the college newspaper.
Career
He appeared in the horror-comedy film L.A. Slasher and starred in the short film Draino which premiered at the 2014 Newport Beach Film Festival. His short psychological thriller film Just One Drink, which he wrote, produced, directed and acted in was an Official Selection at the 2015 Chinese American Film Festival. He appears in the award winning teen drama series Youthful Daze.
Personal life
He lives in Los Angeles and supports the soccer team Liverpool F.C. and is incredibly passionate about the eradication of world poverty. He is a 1st Dan Black Belt in Shotokan Karate and enjoys playing videogames, watching soccer and doing impressions.
