Andrea J. Prasow is an American lawyer with the firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. She is notable for volunteering to help Guantanamo captives access the United States justice system. Prasow served on Salim Ahmed Hamdan's defense team, before a Guantanamo military commission. She requested permission for a member of the Hamdan defense team to travel to secretive Camp 7. Hamdan defense team had requested the testimony of the fourteen high value detainees held there, and several of the high value detainees had declined because they believed the request was some kind of trick. |
