Andre Gianfagna

Andre Gianfagna (born 12 April 1987) is a former professional Australian rules football player with the Australian Football League's (AFL) Melbourne Football Club. He was recruited by the Melbourne Football Club in the 2006 Rookie Draft and was pick 51.
Gianfagna attended Ivanhoe Grammar School, and represented both the Northern Knights and Vic Metro in the TAC Cup and AFL Under 18 Championships respectively. He was a left footer who was an AIS/AFL Scholarship player in 2003 and represented Australia against Ireland in the 2004 Under 17's series, and was regarded as one of the quickest player in that year's TAC Cup.
Melbourne Football Club 2006
Gianfagna was given the number 42 in 2006 but was delisted at the end of the season.
Northern Blues 2008-2011
Gianfagna played for the Northern Blues between 2008 to 2011 and captained the side in 2012-2013.
Umpiring
In 2013, Gianfagna left the Northern Blues to become an AFL umpire, joining the AFL's Pathway Program. He became an AFL rookie umpire in 2016, and was elevated to the senior list in 2017.
