Giancarlo Gallifuoco (born 12 January 1994) is an Australian football player who plays as a central defender and defensive midfielder for Melbourne Victory FC in the A-League. Club Career Born in Sydney, Gallifuoco played junior club football for Sutherland Sharks as well as spending time at the NSWIS and AIS academies. He moved to the youth setup of English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in 2012, and after two years signed a one year youth deal with Swansea City, where he became captain of the U21 squad. Seeking senior football, Gallifuoco headed back to Australia and signed a for Melbourne Victory ahead of the 2015-16 season. He debuted for the senior team for Melbourne Victory against Hume City in the 2015 FFA Cup Semi Final on 28 October. |
