Alt.tv.game-shows

alt.tv.game-shows is a Usenet newsgroup dedicated to the discussion of game shows.

From 1993 until 2002, ATGS was a hot spot for discussing everything related to game shows, ranging from the black and white classic shows to the modern shows like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Greed. Game show personalities such as Geoff Edwards and Randy West frequented and posted to the group. Game show contestants who participated on various shows also took part in the discussions on ATGS.

However, in 2001 trolling began to overtake the group [http://groups.google.com/group/alt.tv.game-shows/search?groupalt.tv.game-shows&qhat+putato&qt_g1&searchnowSearch+this+group], and within a year and a half new moderated message boards on EZBoard, then later Invision Power Board, were created. ATGS still exists, but there is currently little traffic on the group. Much of the remaining traffic consists of troll posts from posters who originally contributed to the group's decline.
