Alpha Team was a Chicago based music group that consisted of Dane Roewade & Andy Adams most famous for the 1992 hit 'Speed Racer' which featured voice samples from the cartoon. Their name is taken from the group of bad guys from the cartoon Speed Racer. In 2000 they released a second track, Hypnotika. While the actual title of the track is 'Speed' and alternately 'Go Speed Go', it was commonly referred to as 'Speed Racer'. It received hourly airplay on Chicago radio station WBBM-FM B-96 and was very popular in midwest dance clubs. The 'hardcore' version of the song features voice samples of Speed and Trixie mixed together to seem as though they are having sex. During this point in the song the tempo decelerates then gradually accelerates reminiscent of Lil Louis' hit, French Kiss from 3 years earlier.
