All American Guys is an online magazine and multimedia showcase founded in February 1999 by creative director Michael Anthony Downs. The website features male fitness models from the United States. History All American Guys was the first of its kind showcase for male fitness models on the Internet. It served as a blueprint for hundreds of websites that would later follow and establish a similar setup. It was the first male model website to be featured on major national television. The site was highlighted on FOX News, Inside Edition, Ricky Lake, Sally Jesse Rafael, Ananda Lewis, Queen Latifah, E! TV and other media outlets. In 2004 Anna Nicole Smith dedicated an entire show (E! TV's Anna Nicole Show) to hanging out with the men of All American Guys. The website has been criticized in the past for its lack of diversity (similar to criticism leveled at Abercrombie), although it appears to be taking steps to showcase a more realistic cross section of "America". Allamericanguys.com's constant media spotlight helped secure opportunities for its male models. Their first major discovery Justin Hall went on to land the cover of Men's Fitness(along side Cindy Margolis) and subsequent model discoveries landed campaigns with Abercrombie & Fitch, Macy's, Ralph Lauren, GQ Magazine, and Sports Authority to name a few.
