Jamie Baratta

Jamie Baratta (born May 1, 1986 in Los Angeles, California) is an environmental activist, writer, consultant, model and entrepreneur.
Early Life
Baratta was born in Los Angeles, California as the youngest daughter of five children born of Italian and Nicaraguan parents and moved to New York City in 2004 to attend NYU, where she studied Cultural Anthropology, African Studies, and Environmental Studies.
Career
In 2008 Baratta began work with Ralph Lauren Rugby bringing to the company it's first environmental initiative. This same year she initiated a corporate social responsibility program at Island Def Jam Records which included the first environmental program within the recording industry.
In 2009, Baratta would go on to create the first environmental lifestyle website aimed to bridge the gap between the environment and urban youth by providing relevant and informative content, www.GreenJar.net. In it's first three months the website gained notoriety by featuring public service announcements from celebrities of which included Kid Cudi, Jeremih, and America's Next Top Model winner Danielle Evans. In addition the site's debut was featured on Kanye West's blog. Following her launch of Green Jar, Baratta would begin to write about the environment for publications such as URB Magazine, Billboard Magazine, Time Out NY, & Teen Diaries Online.
In 2010 Baratta was featured in Latina Magazine for Earth Day where she shared her top eco-friendly beauty products and was named their Eco Chica. Her feature in Latina Magazine, received the most views that magazine has had. In addition to her feature in Latina Mag on Earth Day of 10', Baratta joined forces with Ralph Lauren Soho, Marc Jacobs Soho, and Esprit Mid Town to donate all plastic hangers to NYC's army surplus stores.
Personal Life
Baratta began dating Universal Motown recording artist and [http://en. .org/wiki/How_to_Make_It_in_America HBO "How to Make it in America"] actor Kid Cudi in 2009. The two remain a prevalent couple in the industry.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
