Alissa White-Gluz

Alissa White-Gluz, born in Montreal (Quebec), Canada, is the lead vocalist of the metalcore band The Agonist. Alissa's vegan roots fuel her need to promote the protection of the planet and its inhabitants, and she does so through this outlet. White-Gluz has the ability to use both clean singing and death metal screams.

Also known for their environmental consciousness, song's themes often revolve around moral concerns such as animal rights, societal dilemmas, and the state of our world.

After releasing their first album (August 2007), The Agonist toured extensively, playing with bands such as God Forbid, Arsis, The Faceless, Sonata Arctica, Overkill, Epica, Visions of Atlantis, and Enslaved.

They are currently writing their second album, due to be released January 2009.
