Ali Mahmoud Al-khasawneh was born in Nu'eima, Jordan on July 10, 1929. He currently lives in Amman, Jordan with his wife Khadijeh Abdul-Majeed. They have four children: Lina, Lulu, Mahmoud and Nasser. Career Al-Khasawneh received his BA in Economics at American University of Beirut, Beirut, Lebanon, a Masters degree in Economics from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1955, and a Masters of Philosophy from the University of London in 1975. Highlights of his career include: * Managing Director of the Kuwaiti Oil Tanker Company (1960-1975) * Chairman & Managing Director of the Arab Potash Company (Jordan 1975 - 1984) * Chairman of Jordan's National Shipping Company (1981-1984) * Executive Chairman & Managing Director of Gefinor Finance Group (London 1986 - 1992) * Chairman & Managing Director of Grand States Company (Marbella, Spain 1988 - 1992) * Economic Advisor to the World Bank (Washington DC 1985)
