Timothy Punke (born 1971) is an American lobbyist and political professional in Washington, DC and Seattle, WA.
Professional
Punke served as Chief International Trade Counsel to theSenate Finance Committee and Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT). Punke also worked in President Bill Clinton's White House, at the National Economic Council. In 2000, he was a State Director for the Gore/Lieberman Presidential campaign. Punke clerked for Judge Sidney Thomas of Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2007, Punke joined Monument Policy Group, a government affairs consulting firm advising corporations, associations, and non-profits. He currently leads its Seattle, Washington office.
Education
Punke holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he was an editor of the Cornell Law Review. He is a native of Torrington, Wyoming.
Personal
He is married to Lori Otto Punke, director of Government Relations for Starbucks Coffee Company. They have one son, Jack.
