Alfred Seiwert-Fleige

Bishop Athanasius Alfred Paul Seiwert-Fleige is a Catholic bishop who resides in Germany.
He was consecrated a priest by Roman Catholic Archbishop in the Carmelite Order of the Holy Face on December 31, 1975
Clemente Domínguez y Gómez has been consecrated as bishop by the Roman Catholic Archbishop and became a self-proclaimed successor of Pope Paul VI, and was recognised as Pope Gregory XVII by supporters of the Palmarian Catholic Church. Archbishop Thuc discontinued all further relations after this proclamation.
On November 1, 1978 Pope Gregory XVII (Clemente Domínguez y Gómez) consecrated Seiwert-Fleige as a bishop for his Palmarian Catholic Church at El Palmar de Troya, Spain.

In 1980 Seiwert-Fleige left the Palmarian Catholic Church. Bishop Jean-Gérard Roux (not in communion with the Holy See) later consecrated him sub-conditionally on April 8, 1995.
There is a controversy about the topic if his consecration is valid but illicit. Bishop Alfred Paul Seiwert-Fleige started reconciliation and regularisation with the Roman Catholic Church, but nothing indicate he suceeded in this
Since the Roman Catholic Church does not recognize ordinations made outside of the canon law (it doesnt matter if consecration is valid or not) Bishop Seiwert-Fleige would still need a canonisation and ordination.
Sseveral German dioceses issued official warnings against Seiwert-Fleige. They stated that the ordinations are not recognized and he is considered as schismatic, unrightfully posing as a Catholic bishop.
