Alexander Chernyakhovsky is a Computer Programmer and Biologist studying the spread of Avian Influenza. He is the head researcher for SEARUMS . He is currently an undergraduate at MIT. Awards *In 2009, Alexander won the Young Epidemiology Scholars Competition. *In 2009, Alexander was a finalist in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), winning the U.S. Army Operation Cherry Blossom special award for his participation. An asteroid, 24968 Chernyakhovsky, was named after him for this achievement. *Alex was a 2008 semifinalist in the Siemens Competition.
