Alexander And Maskell Real Estate and Stock and station agent - Tatura, Victoria, Australia (1914-1949) Charles Maskell (1892-1947) and Robert Alexander (1882-1915) both well known local Tatura identities and farmers, together commenced a real estate and stock agency in Tatura in circa 1914 in partnership under the name of "ALEXANDER & MASKELL". Robert Alexander enlisted as an ANZAC in July 1915 and died shortly thereafter leaving Charles to continue on with the business. Charles was an active member of the Goulburn Valley Branch of the Real Estate & Stock Institute for many years. Many years later Charles son Clarence Maskell (Clarrie) commenced working in the business until Charles untimely death in 1947 after which Clarrie became the manager. Clarrie continued the business until in 1949 the Maskell family sold the business to New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Company (NZL) for one thousand pounds and Clarrie continued working for NZL. New Zealand Loan was later acquired by Dalgety Plc to form Dalgety New Zealand Loan Company.
