Alex Tichenor (born August 24, 1992) is a star baseball player for Aris Thessaloniki. He is considered a young prospect in the Greek league and is the number two starter for Aris. He has yet to record a win but scouts say with time, he can become the best player in the league. Before coming to Aris he was a star in his local baseball league in the U.S., but decided to forgo the youth leagues and went to Europe to play professionally. His main pitch is his fastball, but he has a nasty change up when he is throwing well. He is also lightning quick on the basepaths, channeling comparisons to Rickey Henderson. His best pitching comparison is a cross between Pedro Martinez and Roger Clemens. |
