Aimee Garten

Aimée Garten (born September 22, 1980) is an American actress, writer, and historic home museum professional.
After spending much of her childhood on stage at the Pine Hills Playhouse in San Diego County, Garten began a career in film with James Cameron's "Titanic." According to Garten, her early roles were minor, including bit parts and featured extra roles in "The Beach Boys: An American Family," "Whatever it Takes," "Attraction," and others; as her career progressed, she hosted talk shows on USC's student television station and on various television pilots throughout Southern California. She also served as a ballet instructor and can-can dancer. A spine injury ended Garten's performance career in 2004; she has been teaching dance since that time.
Since 2006 Garten has been a resident of Austin, Texas, where she is active in historic house preservation and is Programs Coordinator at the French Legation Museum.
Garten wrote the historical non-fiction volume "Golden Apple: Essays on Julian" in 2006.
