Ayana Mack

Ayana Mack is an American radio personality.
Prior to KRBE in Houston, Texas, Mack worked with respected radio stations such as Q 97 in Fresno, California and Magic 102.5 FM in Beaumont, Texas. She was also chosen as one of the top ten finalists for the Steve Harvey Angel Search on The Beat 93.3 FM in Los Angeles. While in college, she began her radio career in the promotions department of Houston’s Party 104.9 FM . Within six months, Ayana was the Morning Show Co-Host and PSA Director. Ayana started her on-air career as co-host of a morning show. She also worked for the Heritage Top 40 station in Houston, 104.1 KRBE, for 4 years.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Mack moved to Houston in 1990 with her family. In high school, her 5-octave vocal range quickly drew her much attention. She went on to attend Prairie View A&M University where she obtained her Bachelors degree in Communications. It was during her time at Prairie View that Ayana began to develop herself professionally as a vocalist. She has worked with various record labels and national recording artist such as Baby Bash, Frankie J and Grammy nominated recording artist Juan Gotti.
In 2005, Mack made an appearance on the fourth season of American Idol. She was 1 of 50 vocalists chosen to perform for the American Idol judges. In 2008 Ayana began her television and teaching career as part time traffic reporter for the Fox 26 Morning Show and instructor for the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
She currently works Middays on KHMX Mix 96.5 FM.
