Ahmira (Mari-Claude Phillipe Al Beaino) is a Middle East dancer who graced the palaces of Europe in the 1990s. The petite performer was known for her routines that rocketed her to fame from Monte Carlo to the Costa Del Sol. She is the only oriental dancer to have performed at the Grande Casino Estoril, Portugal. In the Summer of 1993, she gave a Command Performance for Her Royal Highness, Empress Soraya Esfandiary of Iran, residing in exile in Marbella, Spain. Ahmira retired in 2002. She served the U.S. government as a translator in Lebanon and Cyprus, where she met and married an American journalist. She has homes in Florida, USA, and in Halat, Lebanon. She frequently serves as a translator for defendants in U.S. Federal Court proceedings.
