Ágúst Baldursson is an Icelandic born director of television commercials. Baldursson has directed commercials for a number of companies, including Sony, Toyota, New Balance, Samsung, and Jaguar. Baldursson studied photo and film at several American colleges including Columbia University before returning to Iceland to found Frost Film, which soon became Iceland's leading TV commercial company, and then The Icelandic Film Company in 1987. His work is renowned for its signature breathtaking exteriors of roads, cars, mountains, fields, and landscapes, usually mixed with scenarios that are both moving and intimate. As a result his work is frequently described as "intriguing short stories driven by amazing visuals." (Annex Films)
