Adriel T. Desautels is an information security specialist with a core focus on the professional delivery of Anti-Hacking services. In May 2000, he founded Secure Network Operations, Inc. and the SNOsoft Research Team. Desautels has extensive experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection, intrusion detection evasion, computer forensics research, social engineering, web application security, and has acted as an expert witness in U.S. Federal Court. At Secure Network Operations, Desautels created Apex Network Vulnerability Intrusion Logger (ANVIL), a Security Information Management system. ANVIL used data inputs from various sources to identify malicious or unauthorized network usage. Anvil was later acquired by a private third party. In 2001-2002, Desautels and his business partner Kevin Finisterre uncovered and exposed more than 20 vulnerabilities in HP Tru64 Unix. As a result, SNOsoft was confronted by HP with a DMCA threat. HP later retracted the threat. Desautels is currently the Chief Technology Officer and founding partner at Netragard, LLC. His primary responsibilities include the design and maintenance of Netragard's professional service methodologies, participating in Advanced Service engagements, the management of Netragard's Exploit Acquisition Program, and the continued management of the SNOsoft Research Team.
