Adam Partridge (born 28th February 1973) is a British auctioneer, valuer, antiques expert and television personality. Early life Partridge was born in London into a family of musicians with both parents being professional violinists and his grandfather collecting and restoring violins. As a young boy his grandfather took him to auctions and when he was 10 when he made his first bid on a small painting which he has kept to this day. He attended Oxford University where he studied classics for a year before leaving and began working as a porter in an auction house. Career In 1998, he worked as an auctioneer on cruise ships. He regularly appears on television programmes such as , Bargain Hunt and Dickinson's Real Deal. Personal life He met his wife Clare while working on a cruise ship and they live with their two sons in Cheshire.<ref name="bbc" />
