ACtronics is a company that rebuilds automotive electric parts. The company has about 120 employees, and 76 of these work at the headquarters in Almelo, the Netherlands. Currently, it's Europe's market leader in companies that are a 'Automotive Electronics Rebuilder'. ACtronics has two sister companies; DIAGtronics and ID4motion. ACtronics has offices in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, Sweden, France and Norway. Core business ACtronics rebuilds electronic parts of vehicles and has a R&D team of 10 engineers who constantly are working on new (sub) products and new testing equipment. ECU Repairs and ABS ECU Testing and Repair Most Engine Control Units (ECU's) are reconditioned with new original components (semiconductors/chips/sensors). ACtronics works with a method of original sensors placed together with professional calibration equipment. This is economically more efficient. Where the original board of the ECU is damages so bad that revision is barely possible, they replace the entire board for a complete in-house developed and manufactured board. This is preferred because it's a cheaper way to repair the ECU. Throttle Body Conventional electronic throttle bodies are usually fitted with a mechanical TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) which is one of the main parts that is prone to break down, causing rapid malfunction of the electronic throttle body. ACtronics has designed a contactless version for many of there sensors which is less likely to wear out, offering a longer lifespan. Instrument Cluster Repair & Testing ACtronics offers repair and testing of instrument clusters. Instrument clusters often have design/manufacturing defects of weak components. ACtronics offers a solution for malfunctioning instrument clusters. They also offer components for instrument clusters, because these are not available on the open market. LCD Display Repair LCD displays often have display problems due to a broken connection between the printed circuit board (PCB) to the LCD display. Repairing this connection is a short term solution that will only hold up the problem for 6-12 months. The cause of this is because of the use of the special z-axis glue. This glue can only be used once. ACtronics replaces these faulty connections preferably for new and improved products. Due to this method, they are able to offer a 2-year warranty on repairs. Testing equipment For testing electronical parts, ACtronics uses the specialized Vision5 and the Cyclone 3&4. The Vision5 is used for testing ECU's, ABS ECU's and BCU's. The Cyclone 3&4 is used for testing air flow and throttle body.
