Ace industries

Ace Industries was founded over 75 years ago in Atlanta, Georgia, by Harold L. Arwood, Sr. as an electric motor distribution and repair business. By the mid 1970’s Ace Electric Co. (the forerunner of Ace Industries, Inc.) had migrated to the repair and sale of small overhead hoists. In 1976 the business was incorporated as Ace Crane and Hoist, Inc. The company name was later changed to Ace Industries, Inc.

Ace product lines include a full range of material handling equipment manufactured by companies such as Columbus McKinnon, Lift-Tech International, Yale Hoist, Coffi ng Hoist, R&M Material Handling, Stearns, Insul-8, Electromotive, Ducto Wire, Cooper Tools, Wire Rope Corp. of America, Bethlehem Wire Rope, American Webbing, and many others.

Ace company headquarters is in Norcross, GA. In 1994 Ace Engineered Products Division began in Braselton, GA. Ace immediately expanded existing facilities to increase manufacturing capabilities. Ace’s engineering department includes over 45 years of experience in the crane and hoist industry. New cranes, modifications and upgrades of existing equipment, and engineering studies are included in Ace's product offerings.

During the mid to late 1990’s, Ace opened branches in Pelham, AL, Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Nashville, TN and Decatur, AL

In 1999, Ace developed a rigging a lifting attachment devision in the Cincinnati, Ohio location. Ace currently has full service rigging
manufacturing facilities in Pelham, AL, Norcross, GA and Cincinnati, OH. Ace manufacture synthetic, mesh, wire rope and welded and mechanical chain slings.
