History
Water One Inc. (D.B.A. Water One) was founded in 1981 to market bacteriological water purifiers worldwide. The company had acquired the worldwide rights to a bacteriological water purification media. Water One's expertise and engineering skills provided the backbone to numerous revolutionary points of use water purification products. The personal water purifier "Drinking Straw" was the most popular product in the gamily. This product excelled in many markets including military, traveling, outdoor enthusiast, and emergency relief. To this day water One still holds a GSA contract to provide this product to the military under the new name "Pure Sip ™". In 1992 Water One diversified to the bottled water service business. Water One installed an automated state of the art washing and filling production line along with all the proper water purification equipment. Water One was producing purified water in 5 gallon returnable bottles. New and revolutionary innovations for the bottled water industry along with Water One's commitment of excellence made it a major player in the Chicago land within the last few years. Steady growth necessitated that the company expand production and warehouse space. To meet this need the company relocated to a custom built location in Hanover Park, Illinois in 1996. At the same time of the relocation Water One updated all machinery and water purification equipment to keep up with the growing demand. Additionally Water One installed another production line to manufacture smaller size bottles (16.9 and 20 oz.) for private label and retail demands.
