</noinclude>Acamonchi (pronounced a-ca-mon-chi) refers to: Northern Mexico slang for piggyback riding. Acamonchi is also a fanzine. Gerardo Yepiz is founder of Acamonchi (a group of artists continuously generating thought-provoking, visually striking artwork that feeds from underground culture. Using diverse artistic mediums such as graffiti, found object, stencil, wood, and canvas, the images that emerge from Yepiz work are often stirring and provocative. He is well known around the world for his witty stencils featuring altered portraits of politicians and media masters. Yepiz talks about his work, and its relationship to politics: "Most of the work I produce deals with non-conformity where ideas and political statements can be addressed to the public using neo-graffiti and guerrilla art tactics. Everything is done in a funny way, I always want people to think about what we do and to enjoy the message, even if it's too crude to digest."
