Aaron Robert Fisher (born August 30, 1979) is an American-born muay Thai and mixed martial arts fighter. He is currently fighting in Thailand as a professional muay Thai boxer. Fisher trains with Chalong Chai in Phuket, Thailand. Biography Aaron Fisher grew up in Toledo, Ohio. As a youth he would participate in backyard boxing matches with other children in the neighborhood. Shortly after graduating high school Fisher met Sean Douglas, a local muay Thai and bareknuckle karate instructor, and began training at his gym. On February 19, 2000 Fisher entered his first amateur muay Thai competition. He lost that fight via decision. He went on to amass an amateur muay Thai record of 10 wins 5 losses and 1 draw. In December 2001 Fisher won the FFAA (Fitness and Fighting Arts Association) USA Amateur Muay Thai Middleweight belt. In June 2004 he became the WKA (World Kickboxing Association) 67 kg. (147 lbs.) USA Amateur Muay Thai champion, and in April 2006 Fisher won the Middleweight USKBA (United States Kick-Boxing Association) USA championship. In June 2006 Fisher moved to Phuket, Thailand to fight muay Thai professionally. On September 3 he entered his first fight there, taking on "Rambo" from Surat Thani province. He lost this fight via a five round decision. He went on to win his next 4 fights, 3 by knock-out. On December 2, 2006 Fisher made his mixed martial arts debut in Singapore. He fought in King of the Cage against a former muay Thai champion from Bangkok. He beat his opponent in the first round by referee stoppage. On March 31, 2007 Fisher fought a muay Thai fight in Singapore that was sanctioned by the WMC (World Muay Thai Council). This fight was shown on UBC in Thailand and Fox Sports in Australia. In 2008 Fisher left Thailand to take a position as head Muay Thai trainer for New York MMA Gym, Camp Undefeated. Most recently he fought on The Contender Asia 2 Canadian Qualifier show as a superfight against Trevor Smandych. In December 2009 Aaron Left NYC and started Sommai Muay Thai Academy in Morrisville NC. He is the owner/head instructor there. Aaron holds a professional muay Thai record of 7 wins with 4 losses.
