A.M. Quinn

Anthony Michael "A.M." Quinn (born April 25, 1974) is an American television show host, writer, adventurer, fisherman, and media personality.
A.M. Quinn is the host of Reel America, a cable television show that features Quinn participating in unique competitions around the United States. Quinn has competed in the Bare Hare Sprint, an all-nude triathlon in Reidsville, North Carolina, the College Beer Pong Championship, Combine Demolition Derby in Lind, Washington, Chess boxing, Strip Bocce in Las Vegas, the Iditarod.
Reel America showcases the uniquely competitive spirit of Americans.
Biography
A.M. Quinn was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. As a young boy, he moved with his family to Jupiter, Florida. This began his lifelong passion for the outdoors. Quinn's first memorable fishing experience was shared with Jupiter native, Burt Reynolds.
Quinn's father is author, Patrick Leahy Quinn, known for his novel, Achilles, short-listed for the 1979 Hemingway Foundation/PEN Awards. Patrick Quinn left his family and returned to his hometown of St. Paul, Minnesota. A binge drinker, he attempted suicide twice, once surviving a leap from the High Bridge in downtown St. Paul. He has been on the faculties of several Minnesota colleges. His follow-up novel, The Slums of Non-existence, did not enjoy the critical acclaim of his first effort.

A naturally gifted athlete, Quinn was drafted in 1993 by the Milwaukee Brewers and played in their minor league system for three years. A good utility infielder with a decent batting average, Quinn played in a total of 8 games in the major leagues, recording one double and 2 RBI's.
Quinn retired from baseball and moved to Key West, penning a local humor lifestyle column about South Florida called, Quinn in the am featured in The Miami Herald. The local writer also worked as a fishing guide and his colorful column featured unusual South Floridians in often booze-fueled exploits. In 1997 Quinn was arrested for rescuing and ferrying Cubans across the Straits of Florida.
Quinn competed in several fishing tournaments both off-shore saltwater and BASS-sponsored events. He has placed in the top 5 anglers in 2003 and 2005 Bassmaster Classics.
Quinn was the host of a popular fishing/travel show, "Quinntessential Man." The show aired on Sun Sports in Florida and regionally on Fox Sports Net and featured Quinn traveling to different locales to fish and eat whatever he could find.
In 2005, Quinn was voted Florida's Most Eligible Bachelor.
