2017 Western Australian machinery of government changes
The 2017 Western Australian machinery of government changes, also known as the public sector renewal, is a restructuring of various departments of the Government of Western Australia. Ahead of the 2017 state election, Labor stated they would reduce the number of departments by up to 20% if they won the election. After Labor won the election, they increased the reduction to 40%. The changes were advertised in April 2017, and began in July 2017.
