1st Cathays Al Huda

1st Cathays Al Huda is a Muslim cub scout troop based in Cardiff, Wales. It is the first scout group formed for Muslims in Wales and the tenth in the United Kingdom. Founded in March 2006 by Salah Aboulgasem, the troop was active a year prior to its official establishment. In 2006, 1st Cathays Al Huda had 90 members, composed of Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Non-Muslims are also permitted to join the troop, The language spoken during the meetings is English.<ref name="Uniformed"/> The troop meets four times every week at the Roath Park Community Centre in Roath.<ref name="First"/> |
