14 Year Old Girls

14 Year Old Girls was a self-described Nintendocore band. It has released two full-length CDs on the Retard Disco label. Media coverage includes an appearance playing live on G4TV. Stylus Magazine described the band as "Nintendo punk" and compared them to The B-52s. Style 14 Year Old Girls' music is mainly composed of nintendocore tracks, with various electronic fusions like Nintendo music, video game music, 8-bit, Chiptunes, electro, and EDM; various hardcore punk styles like youth crew, grindcore, metalcore, post-hardcore, screamo and heavy metal; and various punk styles like alternative rock, pop punk, punk, and emo. Their vocal styles range from youth-based "twee pop", or indie-pop emoish melodies, to soul-based "spill-outs", to various punk screams and spoken word poems.
