The domain name suffix "accountant" is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the new ICANN's generic Top Level Domain program on the Internet. It is intended to be used by accounting firms and professionals. The generic top-level domain is expected to be launched in 2013-2014. The registry plans to operate a 60 day Sunrise period, a 60 Day Landrush period followed by General Availability. Domain name registrations will be available from ICANN accredited registrars. Domains may be registered on the second level (example.accountant). It will also be possible to register an e-mail address of the form name@example.accountant. |
