Lands of Hope

Lands of Hope is an MMORPG which is playable through a Web browser. It is a Fantasy game that features many different skills and classes. It was launched on July 25, 2005.
The game itself is set in the world of Myzan. The story revolves around three factions, The Exiles: led by the overthrown king, The Society: led by the nobles, and are the ones who overthrew the king, and The Reapers: undead set out to rule the world. It has been reviewed in both PC Gamer.
Lands of Hope has had two sequels, the first Lands of Hope: Phoenix Edition saw to revitalize the original game with a new interface and artwork direction was popular but did not match the success of the original. The second sequel is technically a prequel and attempted to get funded on Kickstarter under the title Lands of Hope Redemption.
Gameplay
Gameplay is done through a point-and-click interface. There are ten main realms in Myzan, each made up of a grid of one-hundred by one-hundred squares. The squares can contain dungeons, resources, towns, buildings, monsters, NPCs, and various other items. The items can have various effects, such as reviving a dead character for free, or they can just be a sign. Each tile can have different attributes, some are hot and require fire survival, some are cold and require cold survival.
Equipment
Players can equip many different items, depending on profession. Archers can equip a bow and arrows, while a rogue can equip thrown weapons. The magic profession can equip only cloth armor, while the fighter profession can equip up to plate.
Professions
There are 15 professions that are available to play: archer, rogue, caster', healer, fighter, animator, mercenary, apprentice, hermit, stargazer, farmer, hag, salvager, and UW pirate/navy. Each one has differing skills, stats, and equipment, and varying starting locations.
Mobile Version
A mobile friendly version of the game was released in September 2010.
