Yellow One
Yellow One is an secretive organization related to Neurocam, both of which are believed to be under the supervision or control of an entity known as the Nautonier. As with Neurocam, the true purpose of Yellow One is unknown and shrouded in mystery.
History
Mentions During Neurocam Operations
The first mention of Yellow One came from Neurocam member Robert Henley in a 2004 email to Graham Henstock, one of the first Neurocam agents. In that email, Henley identified Iocus Severus, another mysterious figure that had contacted Henstock, as a member of Yellow One. Henley stated that Yellow One's operations were "designed to test the integrity of aspiring members who move up through the ranks relatively swiftly. Their tasks usually involve taking a 'devil's advocate' role and putting agents through the proverbial ringer prior to promotions." Henley also stated in that same email that the Neurocam organization required "almost total separation between departments" and that even his knowledge of Yellow One was based entirely on rumor.
During a later operation, in which Henstock was forced to wear a bag over his head by masked figures and taken to an unknown location, Henstock was informed that he could leave at any time, but that it would "mean the end of [his] involvement with Neurocam and Yellow One." This further showed the strong connection between the two organizations.
Mentions in Neurocam-Related Documents
A series of documents were released (or leaked) to Neurocam agents, some of which included mentions of Yellow One. One document, a transcript of a conversation between Robert Henley and someone named Kissinger, discusses a person or entity called "NOX" (possibly Iocus Severus and/or a member of the related organization Fiat NOX), and describes him as "both Yellow One and Neurocam."
Another Neurocam document, discussing something called the "RUBY Treaty", states that certain portions of the treaty were resisted by Yellow One. Interestingly, this indicates that Yellow One may have a much more ACTIVE, and possibly adversarial, purpose than the mere devil's advocate testing role described by Henley in his email to Henstock.
Yellow One Recruiting
In September of 2007, Yellow One's website , began actively recruiting members. The front page showed a series of phone numbers for various large metropolitan areas in the United States, and also a email address at enquiries@yellow-1.org.
The text of the site was later changed to an animated menu, containing choices such as "Current Status", "Media", and "Login." The "AbOUT" section of the site stated the following description of Yellow One: "Yellow One is an agent of change. We bring disorder to balance and harmony to chaos. There is no unveiling process, nor are there layers of knowledge. Change is the only universal constant, and it has brought you here today. Do you have The Courage to embrace it?" This seems to differentiate Yellow One further from Neurocam, which was often described as an unveiling.
Yellow One Quotes
The "About" section also has contained a number of quotations from various Yellow One personnel. It initially displayed a quote from Dedrick Holding, the Yellow One Director of Operations, stating "Anyone has the capacity to either defy their limitations, or to be controlled by them. We exist to affect change. Much like the wind does, bringing sun and storm. Sometimes change is warranted regardless of whether or not we know what it will bring."
On or about December 8, 2007, that section was changed to a quote from Hector Townsend, "In such a world of conflict, a world of victims and executioners, it is the job of the thinking people, not to be on the side of the executioners." This quote actually originates from ALBERT CAMUS. Hector Townsend's position was given as "Director of (Omitted)."
On or about December 12, 2007, the quotes were changed to what appeared to be the name of movie files, the login box returned an immediate failure, and one of the movie files was listed as "undefined" and required a login. Shortly thereafter, the entire site was taken offline except for a message reading "Access Denied..."
On December 13, 2007, it was reverted to the version from December 8.
On or around December 22, 2007, the quote was changed to read "Yellow One is not The Embodiment of one man, but rather, the sum of a symbiotic collective." The quote is attributed to Victor Straad, Director of Reasearch and Development.
On or around January 1, 2008, the quote was changed to read "Happy new year" before changing back to the quote from Dedrick Holding.
