Winchcombe Town F.C. are an English football club representing the town of Winchcombe in Gloucestershire, currently playing in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League.

History

Founded in 1906, Winchcombe Town FC enjoyed many successful pre-WWII years winning the Tewksbury Hospital Cup in 1927. They went on to follow up their pre-war success by fielding locally renowned strong sides in the 1960s and 1970s. Winchcombe Town then began a resurgence in fortunes at the turn of the century and went on to great success culminating elevation to the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League in 2008.

Ground

The club is based at The King George V Recreation Ground On Mill Lane. The current ground is in need of refurbishment. Since promotion to the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League the First XI has been forced to play at Winchcombe Secondary School on Greet Road due to pitch size restrictions.
