Wessex Learning Trust
The Wessex Learning Trust is a conglomerate of eight schools in the Cheddar Valley area, comprising six schools accommodating students between the ages of 2 and 9, one middle school accommodating students between the ages of 9 and 13, and one upper school catering for students between the ages of 13 and 18, including a sixth form. On the trust's website, it states that their aim is to "offer a world class, 21st Century Education for all young people between the ages of 2 and 18, by providing outstanding learning opportunities and creating centres of educational excellence that meet the needs of all children."
History
The trust was formed in 2016 by then headteacher of The Kings of Wessex Academy, Chris Richardson. Upon founding, the trust compromised the following schools:

- Lympsham Church of England Academy
- Axbridge Church of England Academy
- East Brent Church of England Academy
- Mark First and Pre School Church of England Academy
- Weare Academy Church of England First School
- Wedmore First School Academy
Future
In the future, the trust WISHES to open a new primary school, accommodating students between the age of 4 and 11, in the heart of the new communities of Brue Farm and Isleport in Somerset. The trust say that "...It will be free to attend and highly inclusive with a distinctive Church of England character, and will offer its pupils the opportunity to grow and develop under-pinned by Christian values."
